Bay Area Open Science Group - Examining the Openness of COVID-19-related Randomized Control Trials
Since the onset of the pandemic, there have been a myriad of initiatives to ensure that research related to COVID-19 is made rapidly and broadly available. To examine to which this promise has resulted into the adoption of open science, the Research and Instruction team at Lane Medical Library is conducting a research project to assess the openness of publications describing the results of randomized control trials for interventions designed to prevent or treat COVID-19.

In this session John Borghi, project lead and manager of the R&I team, will present their methods and preliminary results and will discuss how the project has served as a mechanism for the team to get first-hand experience putting open science into practice.
