Tobacco Regulation in an Evolving Landscape: Update from FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products

Webinar Objectives - By the end of this webinar you will be able to:

1. Describe the current patterns of tobacco product use among adults and youth in the United States.
2. Identify FDA’s tobacco regulatory priorities, including application reviews, regulations and guidance, enforcement and compliance, and public health education campaigns.
3. Explain future opportunities for tobacco product regulation in the United States, including planned product standards to prohibit menthol in cigarettes, to prohibit flavors in cigars, and to cap the maximum level of nicotine in cigarettes and certain other combusted products to minimally addictive or nonaddictive levels.
4. Identify opportunities and resources to promote tobacco product use cessation.
